it's a really obvious and tired alliteration, i know, but hey! it works! you know what you're getting in this post, and i remember what i'm writing about today. so let's go:
today i'm posting (really really late) a playlist for summer. today is the first monday the kids in my area are out of school, it's warm & sunny, and everyone is outside. if only. kids are out of school, but today was especially dreary and it rained most of the day. but this playlist is pretty equal parts chill & relaxed and happy-summer-y.
hopefully the link/embedded player works for y'all...
enjoy!

& so
well, i've had this post open all day in the hopes that i would come up with something to say, other than an introduction of myself. clearly i've had no such luck.
and so we start with an intro:
i'm georgia. i'm a twenty-year-old studio arts major, and trying to figure out exactly what that means for my life after college (besides starving in a run-down apartment or living in my parents' basement). i have two cats, boots and baby, who are my cuddle buddies when my boyfriend, ben, isn't around. i enjoy a good cup of coffee on occasion and will take tea all the time. i'm a little bit of south and a touch of north, a dash of east and a pinch of west. that's to say: i grew up military and moved more than most. i have itchy feet, hungry eyes, and a stomach that can't be filled. i like beautiful things from flowers to wallpaper, dishes to drawings, old things to new, life to death. i'm keen on the colors green, yellow, and grey. i'm a romantic and a perfectionist who is practical and can't keep her room clean. i wear clothes a little too big and my dad checks with me if one of his sweaters is missing. i'm a ravenous book collector that reads far too little these days. i write a lot, i think even more.
currently i: live in western pennsylvania, attend college (halfway done!) in a quaint town in the middle of nowhere, live at home during breaks with my parents, six siblings, seven cats, six chickens, & one dog, occasionally publish poetry, and hail from south-central texas.
lastly, i have an affinity for ampersands, question marks, lowercase letters, and semi-colons.
